With President Trump and Secretary Wright’s leadership, the Energy Department has ushered in an unprecedented era of energy dominance, resulting in record energy production and more affordable prices.
Thanks to President Trump, gas prices are at their lowest level in nearly five years and are trending lower. American drivers are on pace to spend the lowest amount of their disposable income on gas than in the past two decades.
American drivers are expected to spend $11 billion less on gas at the pump in 2026, translating to an average household spending of $2,083 on gas—down from $2,716 in 2022.
Never before in America’s history has our Nation been more energy dominant: Thanks to President Trump’s policies, America leads the world in oil and natural gas production, producing at all-time records.
U.S. crude oil production reached record-high levels of output in 2025 at over 13.6 million barrels per day.
The U.S. is currently producing 24 million barrels per day in oil and liquid fuels production—more than Russia and Saudi Arabia combined.
The U.S. is producing nearly as much natural gas as Russia, Iran and China combined at 110 billion cubic feet per day.
