MARINES FIRED ON NEAR JADE HELM TRAINING SITE

Training exercise gone awry? or as planned?

Marines Fired On Near Jade Helm Training Site

by INFOWARS.COM | AUGUST 4, 2015

Soldiers at a Jade Helm military exercise training site in Mississippi reported hearing gunshots near the facility Tuesday before noon, according to police.

From CBS News:

Perry County Sheriff Jimmy Dale Smith told WDAM-TV that the soldiers were training at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center near Hattiesburg.

Mississippi’s National Guard said soldiers training at Camp Shelby reported hearing shots fired at 11:45 a.m. along Peret Tower Road, near the training facility. The facility is secure and all personnel accounted for and unharmed, the guard said in a news release.

The facility, Camp Shelby, described as “the largest state-owned and operated field training site in the United States,” is one of two locations in Mississippi where US Army Special Operations Command is currently conducting the controversial eight-week Jade Helm training exercise.

Back in March, Infowars reported that, in addition to the seven initial southwestern states, Jade Helm operations would also be run out of Mississippi and Florida.

Jade Helm Operations Planner and retired Green Beret Thomas Mead told the Brazos County Commissioners Court that NAVY Seals would “be conducting targets and training down in the Mississippi area.”

“The exercise is actually an eight-week exercise taking place across seven states,” Mead said. “As you can see right there, it spans the whole southwest of the United States. We’ve also added Mississippi and we have a group also working out of Florida.”

“We’ll have Navy Seals that’ll be conducting targets and training down in the Mississippi area.”

The “Mississippi area” referred to is presumably one of the locations revealed on slide 6 of the now-infamous Jade Helm powerpoint slide show, which designates the Camp Shelby training site and the Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School at Stennis Island as SOTF (Special Operations Task Force) training spots.

“[Camp Shelby] is currently hosting about 4,600 active-duty soldiers, National Guard and reservists from Texas and Mississippi in a summer training exercise,” reports CBS, though they discuss an exercise entitled “Exportable Combat Training Capability,” which “focuses on coordinated efforts of individual soldiers acting as a platoon.”

Police were originally looking for “two white males” who fired from a vehicle which they later located, though reports claim the men driving the truck “are not under arrest or being charged at this time.”

As Infowars has pointed out, the Jade Helm exercises will entail soldiers operating “undetected amongst civilian populations” with “some participants… wearing civilian attire and driving civilian vehicles…”

“They’re going to set up cells of people and test how well they’re able to move around without getting too noticed in the community,” described the chief deputy with the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office. “They’re testing their abilities to basically blend in with the local environment and not stand out and blow their cover.”

Here Are the 10 Republican Presidential Candidates Who Will Compete in the First GOP Debate

On Thursday night, Fox News will host the first GOP primary debate, featuring 10 of the 17 candidates running for the Republican party’s presidential nomination. The remaining candidates will compete in a second-tier debate at 5 p.m.

Fox News announced earlier this summer that the 10 candidates allowed into the main event would be the top 10 as judged by an average most recent high-quality national polls, meaning that Internet-based polls and state-based surveys won’t count. What this has meant is that up until today, it’s not been entirely clear which candidates would make the cut for the 9 p.m. face off.

But now the final set of polls are in, and Fox has made the names and placement on the stage official.

Here’s the full list:

  1. Donald Trump
  2. Jeb Bush
  3. Scott Walker
  4. Mike Huckabee
  5. Ben Carson
  6. Ted Cruz
  7. Marco Rubio
  8. Rand Paul
  9. Chris Christie
  10. John Kasich

The candidates will be arranged on stage according to their rank in the polls, with Trump, Bush, Walker, and Huckabee at the center. Here's more or less how it will look:

This list is about what’s been expected for the last week or so, with Ohio Gov. John Kasich the only candidate who was really in any doubt (and for the last few days, Kasich’s place has been pretty secure).

Kasich, who has a bit of momentum, edged out Texas Gov. Rick Perry for the final slot, which is a bit of a disappointment since Perry, who stumbled memorably in one 2012 debate, has been running a genuinely interesting campaign, delivering worthwhile speeches on financial reform and race and economic opportunity. He’s also been the most aggressive anti-Trump voice in the Republican field, even challenging the billionaire mogul to a, um, pull-up contest. Which, sure, might not make America great again, but would at least do wonders for my Thursday night viewing.

Sadly, we won’t get to see Trump and Perry face off this Thursday—although there are still plenty more debates to come between now and March 2016—so we'll just have to content ourselves with seeing how everyone else reacts to Trump's presence.

Politics Is Not the Path to Pro-Life Victory

POSTED BY Ron Paul August 03, 2015
During my time in Congress, I regularly introduced legislation forbidding organizations that perform abortions from receiving federal funding. The US Government should not force taxpayers to subsidize an activity they believe is murder. Thus, while I was horrified by the recently released videos showing Planned Parenthood officials casually discussing selling the organs of aborted babies, I am glad that the reaction to these videos has renewed efforts to end federal funding of abortion.
My experience in Congress does not leave me optimistic that federal funding of Planned Parenthood will be ended this year, however. This is not just because the current US president is pro-abortion. When I started my efforts to end taxpayer support of abortion, I was shocked to find out how many Republicans, including some self-described “pro-life” leaders, were unsupportive of, and sometimes hostile to, my efforts.
Most pro-life politicians preferred to add language to funding bills prohibiting federal funds from being used for abortions, rather than denying federal funds to abortion providers. This approach does not stop US taxpayers from subsidizing abortions. The reason is that money is fungible. Giving Planned Parenthood $100 to use for non-abortion activities allows it to spend an additional $100 of its non-government funds on abortion.
Foreign interventionists in both parties were particularly hostile to my efforts to eliminate federal funding for international organizations that performed or promoted abortions. This is a foolish policy that gives people around the globe another reason to resent the US government.
Planned Parenthood may have abandoned the explicitly racist and eugenic views of its founder Margaret Sanger, but the majority of its abortion "services" are still provided to lower-income and minority women. Every day nearly 2,000 African-American babies lose their lives to abortion, a rate five times higher than the Caucasian abortion rates.
I support the black lives matter movement. I have long advocated an end to the drug war, police militarization, and other threats to liberty that disproportionately victimize African-Americans. However, I wish some of the black lives matter movement’s passion and energy was directed to ending abortion. Unborn black lives also matter.
The federal government has no constitutional authority to permit, fund, or even outlaw abortion. Therefore, efforts to make abortion a federal crime are just as unconstitutional as efforts to prohibit states from outlawing abortion. A Congress that truly cared about the Constitution would end all federal funding for abortion and pass legislation restricting federal jurisdiction over abortion, thus returning the issue to the states.
While passing legislation may help limit abortion, the pro-life movement will never succeed unless it changes people's attitudes toward the unborn. This is why crisis pregnancy centers, which provide care and compassion to women facing unplanned pregnancies, have done more to advance the pro-life cause then any politician. By showing women they have viable alternatives to abortion, these centers have saved many lives.
One factor hindering the anti-abortion movement's ability to change people’s minds is that too many abortion opponents also support a militaristic foreign policy. These pro-lifers undercut their moral credibility as advocates for unborn American lives when they display a callous indifference to the lives of Iraqi, Iranian, and Afghan children.
Libertarians who support abortion should ask themselves how they can expect a government that does not respect the unborn’s right to life to respect their property rights. Therefore, all those who wish to create a society of liberty, peace, and prosperity should join me in advocating for a consistent ethic of life and liberty that respects the rights of all persons, born and unborn.Politics Is Not the Path to Pro-Life Victory
