Drought Blamed on Irreversible “Climate Change” Ends After Rainfall

“Global warming” proponents disproven by thunderstorms

The drought affecting Texas that was blamed on irreversible “climate change” is now over thanks to recent statewide rain.

The U.S. Drought Monitor reveals that only small pockets of Texas are still undergoing drought conditions, in stark contrast to last year when the state was experiencing a severe drought which mainstream scientists blamed on permanent “global warming.”

2014texasdrought

2015texasdrought

“The climate scientists have been warning us for decades that, due to climate change, there is likely to be a desert emerging in the Southwest — including West Texas, the area where most of Austin’s water comes from,” global warming proponent Roger Baker wrote last year.

And about year ago CNN’s Donna Brazile infamously tweeted that “climate change is real” in response to the drought.

“Most southerners now experience only 2 seasons – hot & humid,” she wrote. “Drought is present in places that had plenty of H20.”

But the contrary, West Texas and other regions of the state just experienced rain storms lasting days.

“Reports from across the [West Texas] region indicate rainfall totals for the past week or so range from as little as just more than an inch to a foot or more,” Ron Smith with Southwest Farm Press reported. “Some fell in a short period of time, creating erosion and flooding problems, but farmers say they’ll take on the repair chores in exchange for much needed moisture in the soil profile.”

All Hail West Texas

In fact, the U.S. Drought Monitor shows that on May 13, 2014, nearly 21% of Texas was under “exceptional drought” conditions, but on Tuesday that percentage was zero.

Overall, moderate to exceptional drought in Texas declined from 73% to just under 23% over the past year, a drop of over 50%.

It’s funny how “global warming” proponents are constantly disproven by the weather, and in a lame attempt to downplay their failed predictions, they are now trying to replace the phrase “global warming” with “man-made climate change.”

“Global warming, climate change, all these things are just a dream come true for politicians,” MIT Professor Richard Lindzen admitted. “The opportunities for taxation, for policies, for control, for crony capitalism are just immense, you can see their eyes bulge.”

Seymour Hersh Slams Establishment Media: “I Am Not Backing Off Anything I Said”

In a blockbuster 10,000-word story for the London Review of Books this week, longtimeNew Yorker investigative journalist Seymour Hersh called into question the official account of the American raid that killed Osama Bin Laden, and argued that what is arguably seen as the apex of Barack Obama’s presidency is actually built on a lie.

Hersh’s piece claims that Bin Laden was being held prisoner by the Pakistani military and intelligence service (the ISI), who were using him as a means to control Taliban and al-Qaida elements, and hoping to use him as leverage in their relationship with the United States. According to Hersh, who relied largely on an anonymous intelligence source, the Obama administration found out that Pakistan had Bin Laden, and eventually convinced Pakistani military leaders to allow a raid on the compound where Bin Laden was being held. The plan, Hersh writes, was to say publicly that Bin Laden was killed not in the raid but in a drone strike. The White House, however, supposedly broke this deal because of the political value of making the details of the raid public.

Hersh’s story has been much debated over the past several days, with many calling it into question and (a comparable few) others applauding its willingness to undercut the official narrative. NBC News and the AFP have both backed up small elements of Hersh’s story, although both outlets have also called other elements of his piece into question (and NBC later backed away from its original reporting). And no news source has supported Hersh’s largest claim—that the president lied about the raid.

I spoke to Hersh by phone this week. Here is a transcript of our conversation, which has been slightly condensed and edited for clarity.

Isaac Chotiner: If the plan until the night of the raid was to use the cover story that he had not been killed in a raid but in a drone strike, then why have the raid at all?  Why not just have the Pakistanis kill him? Why risk Obama’s presidency?

Seymour Hersh: Of course there is no answer there because I haven’t talked to any of the principals. But I can just give you what the people who were in the process believed to be so, which is that for [Gens.] Pasha and Kayani, the chance of something like that getting leaked out would be devastating. America was then running at about 8 percent popularity in Pakistan, and Bin Laden was running at 60, 70 percent. He was very popular.[Editor’s note: This 2010 opinion poll says that Bin Laden’s popularity was at 18 percent in Pakistan.] You couldn’t just take a chance, because if someone ratted you out—I can only give you a basic theory.

  • A D V E R T I S E M E N T

Chotiner: It just seems like a huge raid with Pakistani complicity brings up just as many problems for the Pakistanis.

Hersh: If you believe, as a smart guy said to me, if anybody, if anyone didn’t think the president was going to fuck [the Pakistani military] they are out of their mind. He was always going to fuck them.

Chotiner: OK. In your piece you call into question that the Americans got valuable documents in the raid. But Ayman al-Zawahiri, the current head of al-Qaida, himself seemed to confirm that this was true. How do you handle that contradiction?

Hersh: I handle it pretty easy. [Laughs] The issue for me is the treasure trove issue. Did the SEALS take out piles of computers? There were claims they found computers and disks and sticks, what do they call those sticks?

Chotiner: I don’t know.

Hersh: You’re not as old as I am. You should know that. Anyway, the SEALs mission was to go kill the guy. They did pick up some papers, but most of the papers were delivered by the ISI. He was a prisoner under their control. He wasn’t beaten and could walk around but it was a prison. He couldn’t get out. They kept encouraging him to write stuff. And he did. But I am bothered by the contradictions. [The] president said it was a treasure trove so there had to be a treasure trove. Is it real? I don’t know. It was used in a trial. Is it real? Is it not? I don’t know.

Chotiner: You seem slightly annoyed that Obama double-crossed the Pakistanis.

Hersh: Double-crossed is your word.

Chotiner: OK fine. I want to understand why you seem bothered by that, aside from the lying. Turning our back on the worst elements in Pakistan who we have long nurtured doesn’t seem so bad. We have supported them forever.

Hersh: Why do we do that?

Chotiner: Because we see it as being in our own interest.

Hersh: Well no, we do it for nukes.

Chotiner: Fine, we see that as being in our interest.

Hersh: In my experience in the last 30 years, one of the major worries was about the “Islamic bomb,” about Pakistan. If you knew the lengths to which we go, working with the ISI, to make sure some ultranationalist or ultrajihadist doesn’t get [control of nukes].

Chotiner: Yes, although you could argue that if we hadn’t nurtured these elements for so long, the country would be less of a threat.

Hersh: You could argue anything.

Chotiner: I want to—

Hersh: Swing away fella.

Chotiner: You sent me—

Hersh: You probably don’t know that NBC reported, and now they have reported it on one of these dopey afternoon shows with that woman, what’s her name, the NBC woman who claims to have some knowledge of foreign policy, married to Alan Greenspan.

Chotiner: Andrea Mitchell.

Hersh: She’s comical. On her show the administration is acknowledging walk-ins but saying the walk-ins aren’t necessarily linked to Bin Laden.

Chotiner: The AFP piece, which you sent me approvingly, says the same thing, that there is no evidence the walk-in led to Bin Laden, and that the walk-in did not even know the target was Bin Laden.

Hersh: Uh huh, OK.

Chotiner: OK but here is my question about journalism, since you have been doing this longer than I have—

Hersh: Oh poor you, you don’t know anything. It is amazing you can speak the God’s English.

Chotiner: Are you hoping with this piece to say that you made no mistakes, or that OK there were mistakes because I am getting the ball rolling? You have quoted two pieces very approvingly, from NBC and AFP, that differ from key points in your own story. I want to know how accurate you think your story now is.

Hersh: [Laughs loudly] Well I will tell you one thing: At one point a copy editor in England confronted me about the SEALs training in Nevada and changed it to Utah, and the line made it because according to her they were sort of the same.

Chotiner: The AFP piece contradicts your piece but you aren’t running around worried about that.

Hersh: I sent it approvingly because it crossed my desk and it does say there were walk-ins. [Laughs] You can read it any way you want. The White House has been very clever about this. They have gone after me personally. They don’t like me boo hoo hoo. But they have been very careful to hedge everything, they quote Peter Bergen. Bergen or Berger, is that his name?

Chotiner: Bergen.

Hersh: They quote him. He views himself as the trustee of all things Bin Laden.

Chotiner: I just want to talk to you about your piece and journalism.

Hersh: What difference does it make what the fuck I think about journalism? I don’t think much of the journalism that I see. If you think I write stories where it is all right to just be good enough, are you kidding? You think I have a cavalier attitude on throwing stuff out? Are you kidding? I am not cavalier about what I do for a living.

Chotiner: I don’t think you are cavalier. That was not my question.

Hersh: Whatever it is, it’s an impossible question. It’s almost like you are asking me to say that there are flaws in everybody. Yes. Do I acknowledge that not everybody can be perfect? But I am not backing off anything I said.

Chotiner: Well let’s talk about sources. A lot of the reporting that got us into the last stupid war was based on bad and often anonymous sources. Is there a problem with journalists having a limited number of sources, just generally speaking? Is this a problem? With unnamed sources—

Hersh: Are you kidding me? Unnamed sources? You are smarter than that. This is too boring.

Chotiner: Let me finish my question and then you can yell at me.

Hersh: I am done yelling.

Chotiner: Is there some sort of journalistic standard that reporters should try to meet to prevent more errors?

Hersh: Let me say something to you. There was a practice at the New Yorker that continued at the London Review of Books. The reason I like the LRB is that it isn’t tied down to Americana. It is more open to being … In Europe people think this story makes sense. There is not the quibbling. It is a different approach. By that I mean that the view of America is less cheery abroad but the standards are the same. The people at the London Review knew whom I talked to. It is the same at the New Yorker. David Remnick knows who I talk to. I do have sources, which is a problem for a lot of people that don’t.

Chotiner: OK well it seems like the upshot of what you are saying, and correct me if this is wrong—

Hersh: I just said what I said. I don’t want to hear what the upshot is. If you have another question then ask it. This is going on too long. I am too old and too cranky and too tired. I have been doing this fucking thing for a day. I told you, I warned you, that I am really irritable.

Chotiner: OK so if both places check your sources, and the New Yorker—

Hersh: Now you are restating it. In Europe it is an easier path. The notion that somehow America—I have one slight layer less. Believe me. I don’t know if you know who Mary-Kay Wilmers is. You probably don’t.

Chotiner: She is the editor of the LRB.

Hersh: Do you know how smart she is?

Chotiner: I have heard stories.

Hersh: She is fantastic. She is as good as they say. They go gaga over her. She was married to Stephen Frears. She is tenacious. But believe me this piece took a long time to get into print. A lot of questions. A lot of nasty questions.

Chotiner: OK—

Hersh: Don’t turn this into some sort of profound anti-American statement.

Chotiner: It seems like you are hinting the New Yorker rejected it for reasons having to do with politics.

Hersh: Would you care to hear the truth? Would you care to hear something that didn’t come from Vox, whoever Vox is? I am not sure you are that interested in it. I am doing a book. Within four or five days I hear that there are problems with the [official] OBL story. A lot of problems. And I have good friends in Pakistan. Really good friends. I go there a lot. Hold on, I just walked out of a two-room suite and the fucking movie crew. The fucking movie crew just leaves the desk. God dammit. [A film crew had been in Hersh’s office.] Anyway. First of all, you may get some suggestion of this. Maybe I am not an easy guy.

Chotiner: I wouldn’t dream of suggesting that.

Hersh: There was a point with the New Yorker where I thought they should rename the fucking magazine the Seymour Hersh Weekly. David Remnick has his own theories and opinions. He is not cowed by me. We have a lot of fights. We have a lot of disagreements. I don’t find that so shocking. I like him a lot, he is brilliant, he is great. I think he is even a better writer than editor. I have always been a freelancer. I always work for myself.

Chotiner: I get that.

Hersh: So, all that happens is I tell him about the story, and his initial approach was to say do a blog item. Go fuck yourself! A blog? I have done a couple blogs when it is 1,000 words but this is worth more. At that point it was very early. So I was on contract for a book and said fuck it … You want to make a lot out of it? David always says he welcomes another view. I am the guy who said fuck it, I will do what I want to do. [Editor’s note: Other news sources have reported that the New Yorker declined to publish a version of the story.]

[Hersh picks up other phone]: Yeah. Yeah. Oh no, fuck no … I don’t want to do it there! Go fuck—

Hersh: You there?

Chotiner: Yes.

Hersh: Fucking TV interview sets up in the hall of my office building. It’s a lawyer’s building.

Chotiner: I was just asking—

Hersh: You want to write about this totally tedious shit? Yes, I am a huge pain in the ass. I am the one that decided to publish it wherever the hell I please. That’s the story. You want to listen to hall gossip about me? Go ahead. [Sarcastic voice] It is so immensely important to so many people to know where I published. I can’t believe it.

Chotiner: Can I tell you why?

Hersh: I don’t want to hear why. You think there is a different standard in London?

Chotiner: I wish you would listen.

Hersh: All right, maybe I will listen, but I gotta hang up.

Chotiner: If people here are turning down stories because of certain politics—you yourself said it was easier in Europe—that is a story that should be written.

Hersh: Now you said the first intelligent thing you have said. If you had asked whether he didn’t run this because he is in love with Obama and all that stuff that people think, no … It is a very good question. Although we have huge disagreements. My children and I have huge disagreements. I have a huge disagreement with my dog. We have a lot of disagreements and there are times when he will call me and I will not answer the call. Oh fuck hold on. He always has said to me he welcomes any information and it was I who said fuck it.

Chotiner: OK but you have talked about the New Yorker’s Americana and said my question was a good one, so is there something to it?

Hersh: I think it is a great question.

Chotiner: So what do you think of it?

Hersh: I just told you what I think. In the case of the Bin Laden story, he is open for anything. It was I who made the decision.

Chotiner: I feel like you are telling me two different things. One is that you get less pressure in Europe, and the other is that this story would have been fine at the New Yorker.

Hersh: So fine, I am glad you are confused. Write whichever one makes you happy.

Chotiner: OK.

Hersh: I don’t mean to yell at you but I feel good doing it. Goodbye.

MORE SOCIALISM INSANITY: Pro-Abortion Group Labels 20 Week Ban “Inhumane”

By 5 month mark, babies are the length of a banana and can feel pain

Pro-abortion group UltraViolet responded to the passage of a bill that would put a national ban on most abortions after the 20 week gestation period by labeling the measure “inhumane.”

The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which contains exemptions in cases of rape, incest or when the mother’s life is threatened, finally passed the House this week after a long delay, prompting outrage from pro-choice organizations who responded with familiar vitriol.

Despite the fact that the legislation is likely to be killed in the Senate anyway, liberal activist groupUltraViolet claimed the legislation would “criminalize women’s reproductive choices.”

“Plain and simple – when politicians introduce inhumane bans on abortions, they are tying the hands of physicians who want to help couples going through heartbreaking situations like serious fetal anomalies,” said co-founder Shaunna Thomas.

Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, asserted the bill was part of a stealth move to “ban abortion completely,” a claim backed up by zero evidence.

Meanwhile, Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, was offended that politicians would even dare vote on such a bill during ‘Women’s Health Week,’ calling such behavior “appalling.”

Responding to the criticism, Congressman Sean Duffy remarked, “If you stand with the defenseless, with the voiceless, you have to stand with little babies. Don’t talk to me about cruelty in our bill — when you look at little babies being dismembered, feeling excruciating pain, if we can’t stand to defend these children, what do we stand for in this institution?”

Characterizing the bill as “inhumane” makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. The only thing that’s “inhumane” is killing a life form that by 20 weeks weighs 10 ounces and measures around 10 inches, the length of a banana.

Ultrasound images show that babies at 20 weeks are so sensitive to touch that they react to a single human hair being drawn across their palm by making a fist.

“At 20 weeks, the fetal brain has the full complement of brain cells present in adulthood, ready and waiting to receive pain signals from the body, and their electrical activity can be recorded by standard electroencephalography (EEG),” according to Dr. Paul Ranalli, neurologist at the University of Toronto.

Robert J. White, M.D., PhD., professor of neurosurgery at Case Western University concurs, remarking that an unborn baby at 20 weeks gestation “is fully capable of experiencing pain. … Without question, [abortion] is a dreadfully painful experience for any infant subjected to such a surgical procedure.”

Most women start to feel a baby moving at around the 20 week mark. Ultrasound scanning has also proven that babies start making finger movements at around 15 weeks and are yawning by around 18 weeks. They also start to suck their thumb at around this time.

Babies more than double in size between 15 and 20 weeks inside the womb, while the nervous system is rapidly maturing as the nerves connect the brain to the rest of the body. Soft cartilage also hardens into bone while sensory perceptions which designate areas of the brain for smell, taste, hearing, vision and touch also quickly develop during this time period.

Parents are even advised to read aloud or sing at the 20 week mark because the baby is sometimes able to hear. New studies also show that premature babies born at 22 weeks can survive outside the womb.

There can be little debate about the fact that by 20 weeks, a baby is a functioning, feeling human life form and not just a “collection of cells” as abortion advocates sometimes characterize a fetus.

Pro-choice groups are also misrepresenting reality when they claim that most Americans would oppose the passage of this bill. In reality, a Washington Post poll found that 64 percent of Americans support restricting abortion beyond 20 weeks. Women and younger people are also more likely to support the ban.

In terms of Roe v Wade, which legalized abortion in the first three months of a pregnancy, polls have remained fairly steady over the last 40 years, with the most recent finding that 63 per cent oppose overturning the Supreme Court decision, while 29 per cent would like to see it reversed.

As we have previously illustrated, some college students even support killing newborns up to five years old.

In 2013, numerous residents in San Diego signed a similar petition composed by Mark Dice which advocated making post-birth abortions legal under Obamacare.

In another video also shot in 2013, reporter Dan Joseph convinced numerous students at George Mason University (GMU) to sign a petition demanding lawmakers legalize “fourth trimester” abortions, in other words killing babies that had already been born.

In 2013, the University of Melbourne’s Alberto Giubilini and Francesca Minerva wrote a paper arguing that “after-birth abortion (killing a newborn baby) should be permissible, including in cases where the newborn is not disabled.”

The notion of infanticide was also implicitly backed by MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry, who said that newborn infants don’t count as being considered “alive”.

Total Socialist Insanity: Bedtime Reading to Kids “Unfairly Disadvantages” Others – They want to abolish the family????

Posted on May 8, 2015 by Brian McWilliams

bedtime

The headline to this article could very well read “statists gone mad!” and be perfectly accurate.

The National Review includes an interview from ABC Radio with Professor Adam Swift of the University of Warwick (UK), and his statements don’t exactly inspire my confidence in that establishment of learning. The Review refers in it’s headline, “Professor: If You Read To Your Kids, You’re ‘Unfairly Disadvantaging’ Others” to one glaring admission from the professor, but there is so very much more to be shocked by.

First, the bedtime reading though.

In an interview with ABC Radio last week, philosopher and professor Adam Swift said that since “bedtime stories activities . . . do indeed foster and produce . . . [desired] familial relationship goods,” he wouldn’t want to ban them, but that parents who “engage in bedtime-stories activities” should definitely at least feel kinda bad about it sometimes: “I don’t think parents reading their children bedtime stories should constantly have in their minds the way that they are unfairly disadvantaging other people’s children, but I think they should have that thought occasionally,” he said.

That’s pure insanity – one can’t preclude the betterment of one’s own children on the presumed neglect of other children! What is the alternative? Every baby is ignored – left in a crate without stimulus, or government-sanctioned stimulus?

But the professor doesn’t stop there.

At one point, Swift even flirted with the idea of “simply abolishing the family” as a way of “solving the social justice problem” because “there would be a more level playing field” if we did, but ultimately concluded that “it is in the child’s interest to be parented” and that “parenting a child makes for what we call a distinctive and special contribution to the flourishing and well-being of adults.”

Of course it’s in the child’s best interest to be parented! Only in severe circumstances of abuse and neglect is a child better off out of the home. The picture is horribly bleak when a child becomes the ward of the state. Over 70% of the prison population in California, which has the largest foster population in the States, comes from foster youth. And this man is toying with the notion of abolishing the family system and turning all children into “state” children?

Swift is literally an advocate for the “nanny state” in every sense of the word. This is the inherent danger in trusting government to “equalize” the footing – when and where does it stop? Would a government ever go this far? It’s not out of the realm of possibility in any way. Government is coercive. Government is ever-expanding.

The liberties taken weren’t ripped from us overnight in one fell swoop, but instead siphoned off slowly either by bad voting practices or legislation made under the auspices of the “greater good.”

Swift’s vision is terrifyingly akin to that of Aldous Huxley’s in “Brave New World,” a book which seeks to warn of the nature of totalitarian nanny-state government in which babies are manufactured, nurtured and programmed by the state. That’s not a future any of us wants to live in. …Except psychopath’s like the good professor.

Video: Marines Practice Subduing Citizens Inside Internment Camp

Role players chant for food and water during alarming exercise

Paul Joseph Watson

May 14, 2015

Alarming video footage from a U.S. Marines training drill which took place in Arizona last month shows armed troops chasing down unruly citizens inside a mock internment camp while role players chant for food and water.

The exercise, which involved U.S. Marines from 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, took place on April 18 in Yuma, Arizona and revolved around “assault support tactics” training.

The drill was part of, “standardized tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine Aviation Training and Readiness,” according to the description accompanying the video.

In plain English, the exercise was about subduing, arresting and incarcerating irate citizens during a martial law-style scenario.

null

The video shows Marines landing in helicopters on a field next to a busy highway. Locals watch the exercise behind a perimeter fence while role players prepare to take part in the drill.

The Marines then practice apprehending unruly citizens, one of whom is carried away on a stretcher.

null

One of the role players simulates attempting to escape the enclosure before he is chased down and handcuffed by an armed Marine.

Other role players are then heard chanting “food and water” while rattling the perimeter fence as Marines look on. The video then shows more role players being chased and hauled away. One of the role players is subsequently heard to shout, “let me out!”

null

More physical struggles and chases ensue between role players and Marines before some of the citizens receive mock medical treatment, with one Marine heard describing one of the injuries as “gunshot wounds to the chest.”

Some of the victims are then loaded onto the chopper before the video clip ends.

null

The Marines will undoubtedly claim that these exercises are to prepare for overseas combat and occupation missions, but U.S. Army manuals have made it clear that such operations also apply to the Continental United States (CONUS), and will be used against American citizens during a national emergency.

Concerns over such exercises have been raised after the announcement of Jade Helm, a nationwide military exercise set to begin in July during which troops will operate undercover amongst local populations.

null

Innumerable videos showing similar drills taking place across the United States have emerged in recent months, although this footage is easily the most alarming.

Another video out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida which emerged in March also showed military and law enforcement practicing the internment of citizens during martial-law style training.

VA Refuses to Help Injured Vet ’10-Feet’ From Hospital Entrance

“I know it sounds counterintuitive because someone is just 10 feet away, but it is our policy to do that”

Mikael Thalen
Prison Planet.com
May 14, 2015

A U.S. military veteran was denied help by a Veterans Administration hospital in Seattle despite being only 10-feet from their emergency room entrance.

According to the Seattle Times, the incident began when 64-year-old Army veteran Donald Siefkin stepped down and heard a snap in his foot on Feb. 27 while taking his wife across Washington state to Seattle’s international airport.

As his foot began painfully swelling to the “size of a football,” Siefkin, being 230-miles from home, rushed to the nearest veterans hospital after dropping off his wife.

At 3:30 a.m Siefkin pulled into the emergency room entrance of Seattle’s veterans hospital and, unable to walk, called the front desk for assistance.

Instead of immediately sending help, Siefkin says the employee began asking why he was attempting to visit a hospital so far from home. After a brief argument, the employee refused to provide help and demanded Siefkin call 911 before abruptly hanging up the phone.

In audio of the 911 call, which was made at around 3:40 a.m., Siefkin can be heard attempting to elicit help from emergency services.

“They won’t come out and get me, do you believe that?” Siefken says. “They told me to call 911 and hung up on me.”

After a short wait, Siefkin was met by first responders and wheeled into the emergency room, where hospital workers refused to let him stay the night after placing a boot on his foot and prescribing him painkillers.

Unwilling to drive under the influence, Siefkin was forced to take the four hour drive back home where he was finally able to take his pain medication before falling asleep.

Responding to the Seattle Times, Chad Hutson, spokesman for the Veteran Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System, defended the action, alleging that the employee followed proper protocol.

“I know it sounds counterintuitive because someone is just 10 feet away, but it is our policy to do that,” Hutson said . “Our policy is no different than Harborview or Swedish or other hospitals in Washington.”

The hospital quickly changed its stance on the incident shortly after the Times requested a copy of Siefkin’s medical files.

“After a complete review regarding this Veteran’s visit to the VA Puget Sound Seattle campus emergency room, we have determined we did not do the right thing to ensure the Veteran had assistance into the emergency room,” the statement said.

The VA has since met with Siefkin and apologized, promising that the mistake would not be duplicated on a fellow veteran.

“They said they’re sorry and they’re going to change things so this doesn’t happen again,” Siefken said. “That’s all I really wanted.”

Yugoslavian immigrant supports Oath Keepers' Sugar Pine Mine security operation.

3 May 2015

By Robert Rowe and Brandi Hawkins

Imagine being born in a country ravaged by war, corruption and off the scale inflation. Imagine playing soccer in the streets while bombs explode in the neighborhood mere blocks away from you. Imagine that this is what you consider to be normal everyday life.

That was life for Elvis Kobacic, a Yugoslavian immigrant who recently traveled almost 3000 miles from his home in Massachusetts to Oregon in support of our country's freedoms. Elvis, who was granted citizen status in 2013, was born in Zenica, a small town about 45 minutes from Sarajevo during that region's civil conflict that resulted in the break up of Yugoslavia into multiple countries. He remembers well the fear and terror of living under an oppressive regime. He remembers how expensive basic food items like flour had become saying it would cost as much as 20 Deutschmarks for a one kilo (2 lbs.) bag.

In 1996, his family, now war refugees, came to the United States to settle in Massachusetts, where 12 year old Elvis began attending school. After graduating high school, he entered a local community college earning an Associates Degree in Business. He continued his education until he could no longer afford to do so, stopping a mere four credits shy of receiving his bachelor's degree in Economics.

Elvis worked in accounts receivable for a major corporation until recently. Having heard of the problems at the Sugar Pine Mine in Merlin, Oregon and the abuses being perpetrated upon the owners of that mine and no longer employed, he decided to see for himself just what was going on in the Western United States. Packing his few belongings into his car and making arrangements for his pets, he set out on the 3000 mile journey.

He mentioned that this kind of patriotism is not something that is commonly seen on the East Coast. Most people along the Atlantic seaboard of the U.S. seem to be content with conforming to whatever those in power impose upon them. He was curious to find out exactly why citizens in the west had such vastly different attitudes toward government.

Through his own research over the years, he was able to discern that the American economic system was corrupted and being abused by bankers and power brokers. Knowing that this was the case, he wondered why more Americans were not taking note of this. It is incredible to him that the national news media were not reporting on the extreme levels of corruption and abuse these people were getting away with.

Further research gave him a more complete understanding of how our Constitution is set up and why the Founders set it up in the manner in which they did. Reading and studying the debates between Thomas Jefferson and Samuel Adams, he began to realize that the corruption was not limited to the banking cartels, but rather, extended to almost every aspect of American society.

All of this, is what brought him to Oregon. He had to see for himself exactly what people were fighting for and why. It was something he knew he would not find out from the mainstream media outlets. He must find out why western Americans seemed to be more willing to stand up to the government than eastern Americans.

Upon arriving in Merlin, he introduced himself to the coordinator of the security operation, Joseph Rice. After an extensive interview and vetting, Elvis was given a tour of the command quarters (CQ) at which time he volunteered himself to the operation vowing to help preserve American freedom.

"America is the last place in the world where Liberty can be found. If it goes away here, where is there left to be free," he asked. "I have lived under an oppressive regime. I know what it is like to live like that. I do not want Americans to have to experience it."

When asked why he thought so many Americans were unwilling to fight for their own freedoms he simply stated, "I think they are afraid. I live in a big city. When I talk about this with my friends and family, they tell me I am a nut. People are afraid of that perception." he concluded.

Participation in the security operation has been an exciting experience for Elvis. He has worked the main entrance as security where he checks incoming vehicles for explosives or tracking devices before allowing them entrance to the staging area. He also volunteers as part time cook and carpenter. Helping set up the CQ's mess facilities, he worked with one of the other volunteers to build tables and benches which he and other cooks use to provide meals for the other volunteers.

In recognition of his service to the security operation and as a means to show solidarity and support of Elvis' sacrifices, Joseph Rice and other members of Oath Keepers, III%ers and the various militia groups supporting this operation, presented him with an American Flag in an inspiring ceremony. "It was the proudest moment of my life," says Kobacic. "I feel as if I am part of something bigger than myself. I feel as if I am accepted as a brother by my new friends."

As he moves on, we wish Elvis good fortune as he carries his message to those who need to hear it. We pray he will allow us to be a part of his good works, where ever they may take him next.

BERMUDA BANS MONSANTO’S ROUNDUP OVER CANCER FEARS

Farmers on the island of Bermuda are supporting their government’s decision to ban the importation of the popular weed killer Roundup following a study which linked the herbicide to cancer in humans.

Bermudian government officials announced yesterday they are suspending imports of Monsanto’s Roundup after a study by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) concluded ingredients in the herbicide to be “probably carcinogenic to humans.”

“This description is used when there is limited evidence of cancer causing effect on humans and sufficient evidence of it in experimental animals,” the Bermudian Ministry of Health said in a statement yesterday.

“Effective immediately, all importers of glyphosate/Roundup will be notified that the approval for all glyphosate products has been suspended, pending the continuing assessment of the emerging research,” health authorities said.

Health officials will continue looking into the agency’s findings over the next six months, but said they would honor orders placed before May 11 and will give importers who wish to receive “small quantities of low concentrations of Roundup” a two week grace period to do so.

In the meantime, farmers are praising the government for taking a potentially deadly chemical out of their lives.

“I think it is a great thing and Government should be commended for it,” farmer Tom Wadson of Wadson’s Farm told The Royal Gazette. “Nobody seems to know how much of this stuff is getting sprayed along the roadsides in Bermuda and where it all goes.”

“There are other ways to do this — my main concern has always been with what this is doing to animals. Clearly it ties up heavy metals in the soil and it is having massive implications with reproduction in animals and now they have discovered that it may be carcinogenic.

“We use very limited amounts — I have about of a gallon of it around here — I used it in the past but now it’s something we use for special things like poisoned ivy and stuff that nothing else seems to touch.

“There are alternatives that use less toxic substances — there are organic herbicides now — we use one called Axxe. It works. All the road side weeds could be killed with hot salt water or fire.”

Another farmer, Carlos Amaral of Amaral Farms, said he supports the government’s decision, but believes banning the herbicide won’t impact Bermuda as much as it would in the US, since no one on the island is allowed to grow genetically-modified agriculture.

“We as farmers here in Bermuda do not grow any genetically modified crops or any round-up ready crops so it is not a concern for us from that standpoint,” Amaral said.

The IARC in March concluded “there is significant evidence of carcinogenicity in experimental animals.”

“Glyphosate also caused DNA and chromosomal damage in human cells…,” the IARC report notes, adding “One study in community residents reported increases in blood markers of chromosomal damage (micronuclei) after glyphosate formulations were sprayed nearby.”

The National Pesticide Information Center has also found “symptoms of erosion of the gastrointestinal tract, dysphagia… and gastrointestinal hemorrhage” among 80 cases of intentional Roundup ingestion, seven of which resulted in death.

A recent study published in Environmental Health also found glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, and other pesticides were primarily responsible for the rise in chronic kidney disease among farmers in Sri Lanka.

Perhaps that’s why a pesticide lobbyist was apprehensive over taking a drink of the chemical when presented the opportunity.

SHOCK POLL: AMERICANS HATE JEB BUSH MORE THAN HILLARY

Americans who actually like Hillary need NOT go to the voting polls - you couldn’t possibly be awake.

Sixty percent (60%) of Americans would not consider Jeb Bush for president, compared to 51% who said the same about Hillary Clinton, according to national poll of mostly conservative voters.

The George Washington University Battleground Poll of 1,000 registered voters, of which only 16% identified with the Tea Party, also found that 48% of voters have an unfavorable view of Bush compared to only 44% who have an unfavorable impression of Joe Biden.

Overall, Americans have a more favorable view of Clinton (47%) and Biden (39%) than they do of Bush (35%).

All three presidential candidates led the rest in name recognition.

“Voters are evenly split on Hillary Clinton (47% favorable, 48% unfavorable; 47% would consider, 51% would not) and strongly negative on presumptive candidate Jeb Bush (35, 48; 36, 60),” the poll’s press release stated.

In other words, if the 2016 election pits Bush against Clinton, the latter would likely win, but either way, don’t expect either candidate to act much different than Obama.

“The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers,” establishment insider Carrol Quigley advocated in his book Tragedy and Hope. “Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can ‘throw the rascals out’ at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy.”

It’d just be more of the same regardless of the party label which misleads voters into thinking establishment candidates viciously oppose each other when in fact they play on the same team.

“I would say the best part of the Obama administration would be his continuance of the protections of the homeland using the big metadata [NSA surveillance] programs,” Bush said in an interview on the Michael Medved radio show.

The Bin Laden Raid Was A Work Of Fiction, And Barack Obama Should Immediately Resign

Michael Snyder
End Of The American Dream
May 12, 2015

Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has uncovered one of the biggest lies in modern American history.

It turns out that much of what the American public was told about the raid that killed Osama bin Laden was a blatant lie.

According to Hersh, Osama bin Laden had been captured by Pakistan all the way back in 2006, and he was being held by the ISI as a prisoner at the Abbottabad compound that the Seals ultimately raided in 2011.  In addition, Hersh says that the ISI and Pakistan’s military knew about the Seal raid in advance.  Arrangements were made so that the Black Hawk helicopters could travel through Pakistani airspace safely, and the ISI guards at Osama bin Laden’s compound were pulled away before the Seals got there.  And by that time, Osama bin Laden was reportedly in such bad health that he was essentially a cripple.  There was no “firefight” at all – only a turkey shoot.  Afterwards, Osama bin Laden’s body never made it to the USS Carl Vinson for a “burial at sea”.  That was all just part of the cover story according to Hersh.  Of course the White House and Obama’s lackeys at CNN are strongly denying all of this, and they will continue to deny the truth for as long as they possibly can.  But there are individuals in the U.S. military and in the U.S. intelligence community that can come forward and tell us what really happened.  Let us hope that at least some of those individuals still care enough about this country to do that.

According to Hersh, one of the biggest lies that Obama told was that Pakistani leadership had no idea that the Seals were coming in.  Actually, the truth is that the head of the army, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, and the director general of the ISI, General Ahmed Shuja Pasha, were both heavily involved in the planning of the operation.  The following is an excerpt from Hersh’s article for the London Review of Books

Pasha and Kayani were responsible for ensuring that Pakistan’s army and air defence command would not track or engage with the US helicopters used on the mission. The American cell at Tarbela Ghazi was charged with co-ordinating communications between the ISI, the senior US officers at their command post in Afghanistan, and the two Black Hawk helicopters; the goal was to ensure that no stray Pakistani fighter plane on border patrol spotted the intruders and took action to stop them. The initial plan said that news of the raid shouldn’t be announced straightaway. All units in the Joint Special Operations Command operate under stringent secrecy and the JSOC leadership believed, as did Kayani and Pasha, that the killing of bin Laden would not be made public for as long as seven days, maybe longer. Then a carefully constructed cover story would be issued: Obama would announce that DNA analysis confirmed that bin Laden had been killed in a drone raid in the Hindu Kush, on Afghanistan’s side of the border. The Americans who planned the mission assured Kayani and Pasha that their co-operation would never be made public. It was understood by all that if the Pakistani role became known, there would be violent protests – bin Laden was considered a hero by many Pakistanis – and Pasha and Kayani and their families would be in danger, and the Pakistani army publicly disgraced.

When the Seals got to the compound in Abbottabad, bin Laden and his family were completely unguarded.  That is because the ISI guards had already been pulled back.

Here is more from Hersh

At the Abbottabad compound ISI guards were posted around the clock to keep watch over bin Laden and his wives and children. They were under orders to leave as soon as they heard the rotors of the US helicopters. The town was dark: the electricity supply had been cut off on the orders of the ISI hours before the raid began. One of the Black Hawks crashed inside the walls of the compound, injuring many on board. ‘The guys knew the TOT [time on target] had to be tight because they would wake up the whole town going in,’ the retired official said. The cockpit of the crashed Black Hawk, with its communication and navigational gear, had to be destroyed by concussion grenades, and this would create a series of explosions and a fire visible for miles. Two Chinook helicopters had flown from Afghanistan to a nearby Pakistani intelligence base to provide logistical support, and one of them was immediately dispatched to Abbottabad. But because the helicopter had been equipped with a bladder loaded with extra fuel for the two Black Hawks, it first had to be reconfigured as a troop carrier. The crash of the Black Hawk and the need to fly in a replacement were nerve-wracking and time-consuming setbacks, but the Seals continued with their mission. There was no firefight as they moved into the compound; the ISI guards had gone. ‘Everyone in Pakistan has a gun and high-profile, wealthy folks like those who live in Abbottabad have armed bodyguards, and yet there were no weapons in the compound,’ the retired official pointed out. Had there been any opposition, the team would have been highly vulnerable. Instead, the retired official said, an ISI liaison officer flying with the Seals guided them into the darkened house and up a staircase to bin Laden’s quarters. The Seals had been warned by the Pakistanis that heavy steel doors blocked the stairwell on the first and second-floor landings; bin Laden’s rooms were on the third floor. The Seal squad used explosives to blow the doors open, without injuring anyone. One of bin Laden’s wives was screaming hysterically and a bullet – perhaps a stray round – struck her knee. Aside from those that hit bin Laden, no other shots were fired. (The Obama administration’s account would hold otherwise.)

After the raid, Obama was never supposed to go public with what had happened.  Instead, about a week later a cover story about how bin Laden had been killed in a drone strike was supposed to be released to the public.  Obama betrayed the Pakistanis for his own political gain.  And the highly touted “burial at sea” of bin Laden never took place either

Within weeks of the raid, I had been told by two longtime consultants to Special Operations Command, who have access to current intelligence, that the funeral aboard the Carl Vinson didn’t take place. One consultant told me that bin Laden’s remains were photographed and identified after being flown back to Afghanistan. The consultant added: ‘At that point, the CIA took control of the body. The cover story was that it had been flown to the Carl Vinson.’ The second consultant agreed that there had been ‘no burial at sea’. He added that ‘the killing of bin Laden was political theatre designed to burnish Obama’s military credentials … The Seals should have expected the political grandstanding. It’s irresistible to a politician. Bin Laden became a working asset.’ Early this year, speaking again to the second consultant, I returned to the burial at sea. The consultant laughed and said: ‘You mean, he didn’t make it to the water?’

The retired official said there had been another complication: some members of the Seal team had bragged to colleagues and others that they had torn bin Laden’s body to pieces with rifle fire. The remains, including his head, which had only a few bullet holes in it, were thrown into a body bag and, during the helicopter flight back to Jalalabad, some body parts were tossed out over the Hindu Kush mountains – or so the Seals claimed. At the time, the retired official said, the Seals did not think their mission would be made public by Obama within a few hours: ‘If the president had gone ahead with the cover story, there would have been no need to have a funeral within hours of the killing. Once the cover story was blown, and the death was made public, the White House had a serious “Where’s the body?” problem.

Obviously the Seals could blow up the whole story by coming back and talking to the media.  That is why the Obama administration has gone to extraordinary lengths to silence them

The White House’s solution was to silence the Seals. On 5 May, every member of the Seal hit team – they had returned to their base in southern Virginia – and some members of the Joint Special Operations Command leadership were presented with a nondisclosure form drafted by the White House’s legal office; it promised civil penalties and a lawsuit for anyone who discussed the mission, in public or private. ‘The Seals were not happy,’ the retired official said. But most of them kept quiet, as did Admiral William McRaven, who was then in charge of JSOC. ‘McRaven was apoplectic. He knew he was ****** by the White House, but he’s a dyed-in-the-wool Seal, and not then a political operator, and he knew there’s no glory in blowing the whistle on the president. When Obama went public with bin Laden’s death, everyone had to scramble around for a new story that made sense, and the planners were stuck holding the bag.’

There is so much more in Hersh’s article, and you can read the rest of it right here.  The following is how Business Insider summarized some of the main points…

  • The White House’s “most blatant” lie was that Pakistan’s two most senior military officials were never informed of the mission, Hersh says.
  • While US officials say they found bin Laden by tracking his trusted courier, Hersh says they discovered his whereabouts from a former Pakistani intelligence officer who wanted the $25 million reward the US was offering.
  • The government claimed bin Laden was hiding out, but Hersh says the Pakistani intelligence agency had actually been holding him captive since 2006 to use him as leverage against Taliban and Al Qaeda activities in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
  • While the White House has said it would have taken bin Laden alive if it could have and that he was killed in a firefight, Hersh says that wasn’t the case. “There was no firefight as they moved into the compound; the ISI guards had gone,” Hersh wrote.
  • The article also takes issue with the White House’s claim that bin Laden was buried at sea in a service that followed Islamic practices. “The remains, including his head, which had only a few bullet holes in it, were thrown into a body bag and, during the helicopter flight back to Jalalabad, some body parts were tossed out over the Hindu Kush mountains — or so the Seals claimed,” Hersh reported, citing his senior US intelligence official.

If these things are true, Barack Obama and much of his inner circle should immediately resign.  They purposely and maliciously lied to the American people over and over for their own political gain.  But of course so far they are choosing to deny everything

“There are too many inaccuracies and baseless assertions in this piece to fact check each one,” White House National Security Council spokesman Ned Price said in a statement shared with The Hill.

“Every sentence I was reading was wrong,” former acting CIA Director Michael Morell added Monday on “CBS This Morning.”

“The source that Hersh talked to has no idea what he’s talking about. The person obviously was not close to what happened,” he added. “The Pakistanis did not know. The president made a decision not to tell the Pakistanis. The Pakistanis were furious with us. The president sent me to Pakistan after the raids to start smoothing things over.”

So what we need are people that know what really happened to step forward and tell the American people the truth.

Without a doubt, there are individuals in the U.S. military and in the U.S. intelligence community that can expose the lies of the Obama administration if they have the courage to act.

If you are one of those individuals and you choose to remain silent, you are betraying this country just like the Obama administration has.  The time has come to tell the truth, and it is your duty as an American to do so.
