As many who study the “war on terror” will agree, the apparatus implemented by the Federal Government to fight the phony war has been turned around on the American populace.  Almost all large cities, and many smaller ones, have beefed up their armaments to ridiculous levels.  Even the NY Times has noticed this phenomenon.  Living within the sparsely populated Flathead Valley, one would think us immune from DHS intervention.  However, with Kalispell, Montana being one of the hubs of the Liberty Movement, it comes as no surprise that DHS has set-up shop here.

In the interview below, I speak to an eyewitness who followed four of these vehicles through town.  At one point, they were flanked by air support with a .50 caliber machine-gunner on back.  Please take the time to comment on this article below if you live in the Flathead Valley and you have seen similar vehicles.

VA scandal to produce criminal charges?

House Committee on Veteran's Affairs

WASHINGTON – The Department of Justice is looking into whether anyone acted criminally in the Department of Veterans Affairs scandal.

That emerged from testimony Monday evening during a second rare evening congressional hearing in less than two weeks, and again it was the House Committee on Veteran’s Affairs.

Chairman Jeff Miller, R-Fla., got to the point, asking the VA’s acting inspector general if he had found any evidence of criminal behavior in his investigation into the scandal.

Richard Griffin indicated his investigators were looking closely at the manipulation of wait lists, saying, “We have found indications of some supervisors directing some of the methodologies to change the times.”

He said his team has been in consultation with the Justice Department about those actions and whether they rose to the level of criminal activity.

Griffin added, that was still to be determined “in most cases.”

The inspector general also said his department is investigating 69 medical facilities for manipulation of appointment wait times.

VA whistleblowers have said manipulation of wait lists has had deadly consequences.

The scandal began when employees at the Phoenix VA said the facility kept numerous lists to give the impression that wait times were not as long as they really were, and that at least 40 U.S. veterans died while waiting for appointments there.

The VA has acknowledged at least 23 deaths nationwide were due to delayed care.

The investigation into long wait times and manipulating the lists has spread to at least 42 VA facilities around the nation.

The evening’s testimony followed the revelation late in the day that 21 senators, in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, have made a bipartisan call for a Justice Department criminal investigation into the VA scandal.

“Evidence of secret waiting times, falsification of records, destruction of documents and other potential criminal wrongdoing has appalled and angered the nation, and imperiled trust and confidence in the Veterans Health Administration,” they wrote.

Adding fuel to the fire Monday was the release of an internal VA report on 731 hospitals and outpatient clinic that showed a number of startling findings:

  • Approximately 57,000 new patients have been waiting 90 days or more for their first appointments. That is 90 percent of all new VA patients.
  • Another 64,000 vets who enrolled for VA health care over the past decade have never even been seen by a doctor.
  • Thirteen percent of VA schedulers were told to give false appointment-request dates, to give the impression that wait times were shorter than they actually were.

The controversy forced VA Secretary Eric Shinseki to resign May 30.

Acting VA Secretary Sloan Gibson said a preliminary review released last month showed the problems exist across the entire VA system.

He said VA officials have now contacted 50,000 veterans across the country to get them off waiting lists and into clinics, and are attempting to contact an additional 40,000 veterans.

The new audit said a 14-day agency target for waiting times was “not attainable,” because of poor planning and an increased demand on the VA system as Vietnam-era vets age.

The report said it was a mistake, or “organizational leadership failure,” to decide in 2011 to base bonuses for VA employees on meeting targets for waiting times.

A previous inspector general’s investigation into the troubled after being kept off an official, electronic waiting list

Questioning of witnesses was much more combative the last time the committee held an evening hearing, on May 28, and provided perhaps the most dramatic moment so far in the deadly VA scandal.

Having lost all patience with the witness, Chairman Miller cut off a witness at the top of his voice, bellowing, “Maam, maam, maam! Veterans died!”

“Get us the answers, please!” he implored.

Miller had become completely exasperated with Assistant VA Secretary Joan Mooney when she began giving a bureaucratic answer to his question as to why so many veterans had died after what should have been routine colonoscopies at a VA facility in Georgia.

When Mooney began another rote answer, Miller interrupted again, telling her, “That’s what you said three months ago,” adding that Congress couldn’t do its job if the VA would not provide the information it had demanded.

The scene was a hearing in which three top VA administrators were called on the carpet to answer questions following the accusations that at least 40 U.S. veterans died waiting for appointments at the Phoenix facility.

Assistant Deputy VA Undersecretary Thomas Lynch testified that, initially, he did not think there were secret waiting lists for VA care. He said he thought there were “working lists” and an initiative to reschedule canceled appointments, which could be be easily misunderstood as secret lists.

But, both Republican and Democratic lawmakers weren’t buying that, especially after the VA’s inspector general preliminary report, released earlier in the day, confirmed the existence of the secret wait list.

A poignant hush fell over the hearing room when Rep. Dan Benishek, R-Mich., simply asked, “Who destroyed the list?”

When Lynch replied that he didn’t have the names, the congressman asked, “Isn’t that the first thing you’d ask?”

Benishek said he could not understand how Lynch could do an investigation into whether someone had destroyed important documents and not even bother to find out who did it.

“Didn’t you have any interest?” he asked.

Lynch responded that it did not seem important when he was in Phoenix looking into the problem, causing the congressman to counter, “Maybe I am simple minded, but it seems like first thing you’d ask.”

Benishek asked Lynch if he wasn’t concerned that VA managers may have used secret waiting lists to qualify for bonuses, by making it seem like wait times for care were far shorter than they actually were.

When Lynch replied that was a discussion the VA’s inspector general was having, the congressman shot back, “Why aren’t you?”

One of starkest moments came when Rep. Phil Roe, R-Tenn., a veteran of the Army Medical Corps, said he couldn’t fathom how VA officials could receive big paychecks and live with themselves as vets in their care were dying.

Rep. Mike Coffman, R-Colo., said all three witnesses should lose their jobs.

“You are not being forthright in your testimony,” he said. “You are here to serve yourselves and not the men and women who have made extraordinary sacrifices to serve this country.”

he added, “I don’t understand how you can look in the mirror in the morning and shave, and not throw up.”

Police afraid of our Veteran Heroes? – Total panic ensues? – Can you say total crap? - Local Police Chief Super Sad He Was Forced to Buy Badass Armored Vehicle

Dispatch from the SWATification of America: As the war(s) wind down, local police forces are gearing up. Some great coverage in The New York Times about the flow of armored vehicles, aircraft, and night vision goggles into American communities.

The Times quotes a "more in sorrow than in anger" line from a local police chief:

"I don't like it. I wish it were the way it was when I was a kid," he said. But he said the possibility of violence, however remote, required taking precautions. "We're not going to go out there as Officer Friendly with no body armor and just a handgun and say 'Good enough.' "

And then calls him out on his historical illiteracy:

Congress created the military-transfer program in the early 1990s, when violent crime plagued America's cities and the police felt outgunned by drug gangs. Today, crime has fallen to its lowest levels in a generation, the wars have wound down, and despite current fears, the number of domestic terrorist attacks has declined sharply from the 1960s and 1970s.

Perhaps the juiciest bit:

In the Indianapolis suburbs, officers said they needed a mine-resistant vehicle to protect against a possible attack by veterans returning from war.

"You have a lot of people who are coming out of the military that have the ability and knowledge to build I.E.D.'s and to defeat law enforcement techniques," Sgt. Dan Downing of the Morgan County Sheriff's Department told the local Fox affiliate, referring to improvised explosive devices, or homemade bombs. Sergeant Downing did not return a message seeking comment.

Bizarre Batman Connection Shows Up in Another Mass Shooting

BIZARRE BATMAN CONNECTION SHOWS UP IN ANOTHER MASS SHOOTING
Has Batman replaced The Catcher in the Rye as a trigger for mind control assassins?

Bizarre Batman Connection Shows Up in Another Mass Shooting

by INFOWARS.COM | JUNE 9, 2014

A curious theme running through several recent shootings seems to be a connection to the Batman comic book franchise, a coincidence which runs parallel with CIA mind-controlled assassins of the past being found with copies of the book The Catcher in the Rye.

A recent shooting in Las Vegas appears to be the work of two crazed Batman fans. The Facebook pages of Jerad and Amanda Miller, the two accused shooters who allegedly killed two police officers inside a Cici’s Pizza in Las Vegas, as well as a Walmart patron, are littered with photos of the married couple dressed as Batman villain The Joker and his love interest and criminal accomplice Harley Quinn.

Similarly, on July 20, 2012, James Holmes walked into a theater in Aurora, Colorado, and threw smoke grenades into an audience before unloading a hail of bullets, killing 12 people. Patrons had flocked to watch the latest Batman flick, “The Dark Knight Rises,” and many publications claimed Holmes painted his hair red as a reference to the Joker in a scene from “The Dark Knight.”

After the shooting, multiple witnesses claimed they saw accomplices aid Holmes, and once incarcerated, an inmate housed with the accused shooter claimed Holmes complained about an“evil” therapist who had “programmed” him to kill.

Holmes was also linked to DARPA-funded research into neuroscience programs at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver, and while attending the Salk Institute of Biological Studies in San Diego, he also designed a computer program using flicker fusion, a science examining how light flicker rates affect human behavior.

Following the Sandy Hook school shootings, which a multitude of people perceive to have been staged, the Batman theme was revisited after Internet sleuths found a map in “The Dark Knight Rises”referenced the words “Sandy Hook.”

Infowars confirmed the rumor and also found the map in question had been altered from previous versions appearing in the recent Christopher Nolan-directed Batman films to include Sandy Hook.

Section of map in "The Dark Knight Rises" renamed Sandy Hook.

Section of map in “The Dark Knight Rises” renamed Sandy Hook.

Further investigation found 46-year-old Scott Getzinger, listed as the prop master for “The Dark Knight Rises” film on IMDB, died in a head-on collision on April 6, 2012, prior to the film’s release. In the film industry, a prop master is responsible for all things props, including maps.

Besides the obvious Batman connection, another running theme through some of these past shootings seems to be Sandy Hook or Newtown, Conn. An additional anomaly is that Getzinger was a resident of Newtown.

Suzanne Collins, the author of the Hunger Games, is also a famous Newtown resident, and two weeks ago, Elliot Rodger, the son of the Assistant Director of the movie series based off Collins’ books, alsocarried out a mass shooting.

The frequent references to the Batman franchise, a fictional work designed to sympathize the masses to the plight of humanitarian billionaire playboys, like Bruce Wayne, and the odd Sandy Hook connections are similar to how several past assassins, including Lee Harvey Oswald, were found with copies of the novel The Catcher in the Rye.

“After Mark David Chapman shot and killed John Lennon, he calmly opened up Catcher in the Rye and proceeded to read it — before being apprehended,” wrote blogger Atomic Poet. “John Hinckley, the man who attempted to kill Ronald Reagan, also was in possession of the book. It is also alleged Lee Harvey Oswald was quite fond of the book, though this is disputed.”

The lawyer of Sirhan Sirhan, the alleged assassin of statesman Robert F. Kennedy, has also contended his client was likely a brainwashed patsy.

“There was no way Sirhan Sirhan killed Kennedy,” Sirhan’s lawyer, Larry Teeter, said according to the London Independent. “He was the fall guy. His job was to get busted while the trigger man walked out. He wasn’t consciously involved in any plot. He was a patsy. He was unconscious and unaware of what was happening – he was the true Manchurian Candidate.”

World-renowned British hypnotist Derren Brown also dedicated an entire episode of his series The Experiments to figuring out if it is possible to ingrain different triggers into someone’s mind and have them unknowingly carry out an assassination. Unsurprisingly, Brown succeeded in getting a candidate to “shoot” actor Stephen Frye.

Programming people to carry out misdeeds via downplayed brainwashing techniques is the CIA’s standard M.O.

Since the illegal MK-ULTRA experiments of the 1950s, testing which began in Nazi internment camps in Germany, the CIA has used members of the public to test the effects of hallucinogens and other drugs such as LSD to control human behavior. Many believe the program is still ongoing. Alleged Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev also believed he was brainwashed to react on a trigger phrase, according to the Boston Globe.

Considering the government’s known history in conducting mind control experiments, it’s feasible to contemplate the CIA has revamped their use of “Catcher in the Rye” as a trigger for assassination and has moved on to a more contemporary model, using the Batman franchise and the Joker as a template to trigger weak minded individuals into imagining they’re comic book villains playing out fictitious events.

(CNSNews.com) -- The number of unauthorized migrants apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol along the U.S. Southwest border has decreased by74.7% since 2000, according to aCongressional Research Service (CRS) report.

According to the U.S. Border Patrol, there were 1,643,679 illegal alien apprehensions, defined as the arrest of a removable alien, along the Southwest border in fiscal year 2000. The southwest border includes Big Bend, Del Rio, El Centro, El Paso, Laredo, Rio Grande Valley, San Diego, Tucson, and Yuma. Since 2000, the number of apprehensions along this border decreased by 74.7%, totaling 420,789 apprehensions in fiscal year 2013.

In the May 2, 2014 CRS report, Apprehensions of Unauthorized Migrants along the Southwest Border: Fact Sheet, it states,  “Southwest border apprehensions began to decline mid-decade, dropping by 8% between FY2005 and FY2006. They fell more rapidly between FY2006 and FY2011, by an average of 14% each year. Since FY2011, apprehensions increased by 26%.”

illegals

When looking at apprehension data for only Mexican nationals from the Southwest border, the decrease of arrests is even larger. “Overall apprehensions of Mexican nationals declined by 84% from FY2000 to FY2013,” according to the CRS. This is “largely because Mexican nationals comprise a large proportion of the total apprehensions for the time period examined.”

“The largest decrease in Mexican national apprehensions between FY2000 and FY2013 occurred at the Yuma sector, which declined by 95% during this time period. Other sectors that experienced a decline in apprehensions during the time period examined included El Centro (94%), El Paso (92%), and Del Rio (91%),”according to the CRS.

Incidentally, Yuma and El Centro are the two cities in the United States with the highest unemployment rates. As of April 2014, which is the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the unemployment rate in Yuma, AZ is 23.8%  and in El Centro, Calif. the unemployment rate is 21.6%.Both of these unemployment rates are more than three times higher than the national unemployment rate in April 2013 of 6.3%.

The reason for the falling number of apprehensions is likely due to lower illegal inflows, said the CRS. “Falling apprehensions likely reflect lower illegal inflows since 2006, though the degree to which reduced inflows are a result of effective enforcement by the USBP versus other factors, like the recent U.S. economic downturn, remains subject to debate,” according to the report.

Obama Homeland Security

In March of 2013, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) evaluated the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) progress and challenges in securing the U.S. borders. “Since fiscal year 2011, DHS has used the number of apprehensions on the southwest border between ports of entry as an interim performance goal and measure for border security as reported in its annual performance report. Prior to this, DHS used operational control as its goal and outcome measure for border security and to assess resource needs to accomplish this goal. Operational control – also referred to as effective control – was defined as the number of border miles where Border Patrol had the capability to detect, respond to, and interdict cross-border illegal activity,” says GAO.

“DHS last reported its progress and status in achieving operational control of the borders in fiscal year 2010,” said the GAO.  “At that time, DHS reported achieving operational control for 1,107 (13 percent) of 8,607 miles across U.S. northern, southwest, and coastal borders. Along the southwest border, DHS reported achieving operational control for 873 (44 percent) of the about 2,000 border miles.”

Bitcoin Gaining Momentum With Small Entrepreneurs

a sign that says bitcoin accepted hereBig companies around the world have started warming up to Bitcoin and now smaller entrepreneurs are incorporating the virtual currency into their businesses.

The Hester Street Fair is a meeting place for collectors, artists, and entrepreneurs that takes place in NYC's Lower East Side. Starting on June 15, it will be hosting the NYC Bitcoin Fair, where you can find "tech enthusiasts, innovative Bitcoin companies, meetups, trading and thirty plus small businesses selling artisan quality goods & food for Bitcoin."

The fair will take place every Sunday until October 26. Suhyun Pak, who is the creator of the NYC Bitcoin Fair and a co-organizer of the Hester Street Fair, told Coindesk:

"The fair is the perfect environment for the use of bitcoin. The small businesses that vend at Hester Street Fair are very entrepreneurial and flexible and willing to try new things out. They aren't burdened by having to go up a chain of command for permissions to try things. They are also excited to be at the forefront of this new technology."

On the West Coast, several restaurants in San Francisco have started accepting Bitcoin. Most of them use Bitpay, which is the oldest Bitcoin payment system and can be used for a 1 percent transaction fee. Curry Up Now is one of the restaurants in San Francisco that has been accepting Bitcoin for a few months. Darrel Oribello, regional manager of one of Curry Up Now's locations in San Francisco, told the Inside Scoop SF last week:

"My initial reservation was that it wouldn't be popular or that it would hold up the line. It has been a smooth process, though. There is no difference between when someone is paying with bitcoin or credit cards."

A third-party like Bitpay is not necesarry though, and individuals can easily send Bitcoins to one another for no transaction fee at all. In the U.K., one innkeeper is only accepting rent payments in either Bitcoin or Litecoin.

Businesses on both a large and small scale have started taking advantage of the many benefits of digital currencies like Bitcoin. Let's hope this trend perpetuates itself as Bitcoin's value continues to rise

Local Reporter Helps Uncover Cop Behind Bathroom Hidden Cam. Cop Admits Guilt, Gets Fired

is an evolved face reference ok?A cop in Chesterfield, Missouri, has been arrested and fired on charges of invasion of privacy filed in two counties. He allegedly operated a hidden camera in a men’s bathroom at a local gas station in one county, and a hidden camera at a glory hole in his home in another county. The cop, David Cerna, is accused of posing as a woman in Craigslist ads, inviting men to come to his home for anonymous sex, and then surreptitiously recording the encounters.

Cerna was apparently hosting the material on his own website, and Chris Hayes, a reporter with Fox 2 in St. Louis, was able to connect the dots. You can read his account—which is at times difficult to follow—here. Hayes says he was able to match the bathroom found in a video posted online to a specific gas station bathroom in Chesterfield with the help of one of the men caught on tape. The camera wasn’t there when Hayes arrived, however, so he took his research to the Chesterfield Police Department.

The website that hosted the material was shut down shortly after that, but not before the information Hayes had gathered could be used to trace the website to a home, Cerna’s, which police raided. Hayes reports Cerna was arrested less than a week after he went to police with his investigation.

Police say there were no warning signs that could have clued them in to Cerna’s behavior, but that “once we learned of his involvement, we acted swiftly to minimize the possibility of any additional victims; and to hold Officer Cerna accountable for his actions.”

Fox 2 only reported that David Cerna was “no longer” a Chesterfield cop, but a phone call to the police chief’s office confirmed that he was terminated. The police chief’s assistant said she doubted Cerna could appeal the decision, since he had admitted guilt and agreed to the termination.

Susan Rice: No Evidence Bergdahl was a Deserter – Conservative Hideout 2.0

by Don.

National Security Adviser, Susan Rice

National Security Adviser, Susan Rice is at it again.

This time she says that there is no evidence Bowe Bergdahl was a deserter. I suppose the note he left saying he was, “leaving to start a new life and didn’t want to fight for America” isn’t evidence.

Nor, I suppose is Colonel David Hunt know what he’s talking about when he said,

“Bowe Bergdahl was a deserter. Bergdahl on June 20, 2009 crawled underneath a wire at his fire base with water, food, a change of clothes, aknife and a cell phone. He called his unit the day after he deserted to tell his unit he deserted… Bill, we lost 14 soldiers, killed, searching for a deserter. He left his unit in combat. It’s non-arguable… We don’t know yet if he joined the Taliban or not. But, there’s no question he deserted.”
But the biggest, “Oops!” by Ms. Rice is the fact that Bergdahl DOES face desertion charges. One wonders how she is able to walk with one foot forever in her mouth.

But here she is, in her own words – Bagdad Bob

Copyright certificate for Obama’s book was falsified

Copyright certificate for Obama’s book was falsified

Posted on June 7, 2014 by Dr. Eowyn

When Random House published Obama’s first memoir, Dreams From My Father, in 1994, they had to fill out a Certificate of Registration to copyright the book.

Attorney Dr. Orly Taitz obtained a copy of the Certificate of Registration forDream From My Father, and noticed something odd. As Dr. Taitz explains:

In the area [of the certificate] where one has to post the birth date of the author, Obama posted USA. Clearly, a constitutional scholar and editor of Harvard law review should  understand the meaning of the question: “what is your date of birth”. Shockingly, Obama answered USA.

So Dr. Taitz asked a typesetting expert, Paul Irey, to look at the certificate. Irey was certified as an expert by Judge Sherry Reid in an Obama eligibility trial in Indiana.

In an email to Dr. Taitz, Irey confirmed that:

  • The typesetting for the word “USA” is different from the rest and it was done using a manual typewriter which was not in use by professional publishing houses in 1994.
  • The word “USA” was typed in two other places on the certificate by two different typewriters because of the different font sizes.
  • Irey also speculated that the certificate was “remade” because the country of birth was Kenya in the original “real” certificate. In other words, a forged form was created to replace the original Certificate of Registration.

Here’s the (fake) copyright Certificate of Registration for Dreams From My Father with the telltale signs of forgery circled in red (click image to enlarge):

One Ton Gold Shipment Into Hong Kong Revealed To Contain Just Worthless Metal

ONE TON GOLD SHIPMENT INTO HONG KONG REVEALED TO CONTAIN JUST WORTHLESS METAL

by ZERO HEDGE | JUNE 7, 2014

Two years ago, stories of fake tungsten-filled gold coins and bars began to spread; it appears, between the shortage of physical gold (after Asian central bank buying) and the increase in smuggling (courtesy of India’s controls among others) that gold fraud is back on the rise. As SCMP reports, a mainland China businessman, Zhao Jingjun, discovered that HK$270 million of 998kg of gold bars he bought in Ghana had been swapped for non-precious metal bars. What is perhaps even more worrisome, given the probe into commodity-financing deals and the rehypothecation evaporation; these gold bars were shipped to a Chinese warehouse before Zhao was able to confirm the fraud.

As South China Morning Post reports, police were last night making arrangements with a mainland businessman to check whether HK$270 million of gold bullion he bought in Africa was genuine after part of the consignment was swapped with metal bars.

On Wednesday, Zhao Jingjun, 43, opened part of his shipment in front of his buyer in Hong Kong and discovered the gold had been switched for worthless metal.

A senior officer said it would be the city’s biggest heist in a decade if it was confirmed that all the gold had been stolen.

An initial inquiry showed Zhao purchased 998kg of gold bars from a company in Ghana in mid-April, police said.

The consignment, in 14 cases, was escorted by his staff and delivered from Ghana on a chartered flight late last month.

“Officers were told that his employee confirmed the cases contained the gold before it was loaded onto the chartered flight in Ghana,” a police source said.

The source said the employee left Hong Kong after the consignment was handed to the staff of a logistics company at Chek Lap Kok airport. It was then couriered to a Tsuen Wan warehouse.

The businessman arrived from Hebei province on Monday and checked into the Kowloon Shangri-La hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui. On Wednesday, he had five of the cases couriered to his buyer’s Hung Hom office.

“When he opened the boxes, he found they were filled with metal bars instead of gold bullion,” the source said. “He told officers the cases appeared to have been tampered with.”

A police investigator said: “We don’t rule out the possibility that the gold bullion may have been switched for metal bars before being delivered to Hong Kong.”

Zhao has reportedly made several such transactions. His business activities include the purchase of iron ore from Australia, Africa and South America.

Four years ago, 265 gold bars were taken from a Yuen Long company. Police arrested three men and recovered most of the HK$90 million in bullion stolen.

We can’t help but feel this is not the last time as commodity-backed financings are unwound en masse and the underlying collateral found missing… sourcing the underlying by any means will be on the rise.
